A vision of a country looking to the future
The National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) represents Italy's strategic response to the economic and social crisis caused by the pandemic, but above all a historic opportunity to initiate a path of structural modernisation of the country. Through the European funds of NextGenerationEU, the PNRR invests in digitalisation, ecological transition, social inclusion, education, and the enhancement of cultural heritage. It is a development model based on innovation, sustainability, and participation, with rigorous rules that guarantee transparency, traceability of funds, and respect for environmental principles such as DNSH – Do No Significant Harm, which requires every intervention not to cause any negative impact on ecosystems. Every funded project is subject to measurable objectives, milestones, and periodic checks, ensuring that European resources generate concrete and lasting benefits for citizens and territories.

protection, development and new identity
The hamlet of Cunziria falls under Mission 1 - Component 3 “Tourism and Culture 4.0”, one of the most significant in the PNRR for the enhancement of Italy's historic hamlets. Thanks to these funds, the Cunziria is being regenerated through a project that combines restoration, landscape preservation, digital innovation and new cultural functions for the community. The intervention is not limited to architectural restoration, but aims to transform the village into a living, accessible and sustainable place, capable of attracting visitors, cultural operators, researchers and new local development opportunities. All activities are monitored through dedicated national platforms and follow the guidelines of the Ministry of Culture, ensuring administrative fairness, transparent communication, social inclusion and full accountability of resources. The NRP thus becomes the engine of the renaissance of Cunziria, restoring value to a unique historical heritage and strengthening its role in the future of the territory.
